Referring closely to the anti- pornography act 2014, select a literacy text, movie, article, song and justify why it should not circulate among the Ugandan societySSEGUYA RICHARD

According to the question, I have decided to choose a movie known as American pie. American pie is a 1999 teen sex comedy film written by Adam Herz and directed by brothers Paul and Chris Weitz. The film concentrates on five best friends (Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch and Stiffer) who attend East Great talks High. With the exception of stiffer (who has already lost his virginity) Referring closely to the definition of pornography as stated in the anti –pornography act 2014, it refers to any representation through publication, exhibition, cinematography, indecent show , information technology or by what ever means of a person engaged in real or stimulated explicit sexual activities or any representation of sexual parts of a person for primary sexual excitement. In case, I agree that the above chosen movie should not be published in my country and this is due to the indecent shows spotted out in this movie as portrayed below. Beginning with the statement above that ‘’ American pie is a 1999 teen sex comedy film.’’ This statement contradicts with our constitution because, the constitution does not allow the teens to involve in any sexual activities. Therefore, publishing or premiering this move in my country would be against our constitution and this can attract the youth to get involved in the sexual activities in such fame. Hence a high risk for sexually transmitted diseases and thus a reason to why I should not allow this movie to be premiered in my country. There is also an indecent show that is highlighted in this movie. This scene highly contrasts with the Uganda’s anti-pornography act of 204. This is viewed among these boys who are chasing a record of the number of ladies they have slept with. Therefore, premiering such a movie would also attract teenagers to such acts which can lead to loss of lives through getting contracted with sexually transmitted diseases. There is also a scene where Jim’s Farther Noah trains him on how to have sex, buys him pornographic magazines. If at all such a movie is premiered for the public to see, this can stimulate the children’s ego of curiosity on how sex is made, the importance of virginity and why should one break his or her virginity. When we also look at indecent show that Jim posts for his friends to watch while masturbating in his room. This video is sent to the rest of the students at school. If such a movie is premiered, this can stimulate a child’s sexual desires according to what he or she has seen on the video and hence letting these children involve in sexual contacts before reaching the appropriate age. Another indecent show is when. Jim breaks his virginity with Nadia, Fitch breaks it with stifler’s mother down stairs on the pool table. Early in the morning, these boys go to the nearest pub, they rejoice, toss up their glasses and are happy of losing their virginity during the prom-party that is organized at stifler’s home place. So when a kid comes across such a scene to watch, he or she may think that losing virginity is the best thing one can ever meet on this world. This will drive them to early sex before the age that Uganda’s constitution states which is eighteen years and above. Therefore, I conclude by saying that, if was in charge and had power, I would not have allowed this movie to be premiered in my country. This is due to the indecent scenes that are acted within this movie yet these shows are highly contrasting with the Uganda’s Anti-pornography act of 2014.
